      利用2,3-环氧丙基三甲基氯化铵(GTA)和γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷(KH560)对聚乙烯亚胺(PEI)进行改性,制得自交联季铵化聚乙烯亚胺(MPEI)。结果表明,最佳制备条件(GTA和KH560质量分数分别为2%和1%(相对于PEI总质量)、反应温度50℃、反应时间3 h)下制得的MPEI固含量为12%、黏度为482.1 mPa·s、平均粒径为119.6 nm,稳定性良好,室温下放置90天无凝胶现象。利用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)仪、热重分析(TG)仪、黏度仪、粒径分析仪及溶液稳定性分析仪等对MPEI进行结构和性能表征,探讨不同GTA质量分数的MPEI对纸张物理性能的影响,并利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察纸张表面形貌。结果表明,向纸浆内添加质量分数为1.6%(相对于绝干浆质量)的MPEI并进行抄纸,与原纸相比,MPEI纸张的干抗张指数、湿抗张指数、耐折度和撕裂指数分别提高了34%、300%、515%和12%。本课题制得的MPEI不含有机氯,是一种新型环保的纸张增湿强剂。
Abstract:
      Polyethyleneimine (PEI) was modified by 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (GTA) and γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH560) to obtain a self-crosslinking quaternized polyethyleneimine (MPEI). It was found that the optimum conditions for preparing MPEI was mass fractions of GTA and KH560 were 2% and 1% (based on PEI quality), respectively, temperature 50℃, and reaction time 3 h and the as-prepared MPEI was of a solid content of 12%, polymer viscosity of 482.1 mPa·s, and average particle size of 119.6 nm, possessing excellent stability for no gelation was observed after storage at room temperature for 90 days. The structure and properties of MPEI were characterized by FT-IR, TG, viscometer, particle size, and solution stability analyzers, the influence of MPEI with different GTA additions on the physical properties of paper was discussed, and the morphology of paper was observed by SEM as well. The MPEI wet strength agent with a mass fraction of 1.6% (based on the o.d. pulp) was added to pulp to prepare strengthened paper, compared with the base paper, the dry tensile index, wet tensile index, folding endurance, and tearing index of which increased by 34%, 300%, 515%, and 12%, respectively. It is convincing that the as-prepared MPEI does not contain organic chlorine and is a new eco-friendly paper wet strength agent.
